Portola Valley

Sand Bag Station at Town Center

The Town of Portola Valley provides a complimentary emergency supply of sand bags to help its residents protect property from flooding during the rainy season. The self-serve sand bag station located at Portola Valley Town Centeris accessible daily and will remain available through the end of the rainy season. Bags, sand, funnels and shovels are provided. Available to Portola Valley residents only.

Holiday Tree Lighting

The City of Menlo Park and the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce invite you to the annual Menlo Park Holiday Tree Lighting.  The festivities include holiday treats, a family movie and a spectacular tree lighting.

Breakfast with Santa

Location: Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, 700 Alma Street, Menlo Park

“Breakfast with Santa” activities include pancake breakfast, letter writing to Santa, holiday crafts, visiting and picture taking with Santa, and a fun time with friends & family. Reservations are required and are available online. Cost: $7 for Adults and $5 for Children. $1.00 OFF ticket price with donation of an unwrapped toy for the Fire Fighter Toy Drive.

Filled Sandbags Available Throughout Rainy Season

The City is making filled sandbags available based on demand. No tools or supplies required.

Festival of Lights Parade

Kick off the holiday season with the Festival of Lights Parade .With a theme of “A Child’s Holiday Fantasy,” the parade features approximately twenty-five illuminated floats,twinkling walking storybook characters, the mayors of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, local high school marching bands, and, of course, Santa with his sleigh and reindeer.
