Ladera

Ladera represents its own unincorporated enclave of Portola Valley as it boasts its own excellent public schools, community events and activities, in addition to the Ladera Recreation Center and shopping center. Numerous homes here maintain either their ranch style or 50s and 60s modern construction and design, many of which additionally enjoy fully updated interiors. Both facts which contribute to the traditional small town neighborhood feel of the community.

Set on a hillside, many of the Ladera homes have views of the eastern mountains and surrounding Bay while others offer the wooded, tucked away feel that represents Portola Valley. The small town feel and rustic backdrop are seemingly juxtaposed with the immediate access to Highway 280, Stanford and Silicon Valley hubs. However, Ladera’s rolling landscape protects the residents from ever feeling the bustle that is just over the hill.

Like other Portola Valley districts, Ladera enjoys a range of neighborhood walking trails that meander through the area further connecting and weaving together the community that resides here.
